Privacy Policy

This policy outlines what personally identifiable information we collect, how we collect it, and how we use it.

Personal Information

If you give us personal information like your name, email address, or phone number by filling out a form, we will use it only for the original purpose that you provided it for:

  • If you give us your email address to receive updates when we post or have special offers to share, we'll send you an email when we post.  If you unsubscribe, we'll delete your email from our list.
  • If you fill out a "contact us" form, we'll use it to contact you to talk about whatever you were asking about.
  • If you leave a comment, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.  An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

We don't use your contact information for marketing purposes.  If we ever decide to make an email marketing list, we'll ask you to opt in first.  We don't sell or give away your personal information to anyone.

Email Marketing/CAN SPAM

If you would like to receive updates when we post a new article or when we have an offer or promotion available, you can sign up for our email list using the form on the right sidebar.

We may collect data about the emails we send and how you engage with them including whether they were delivered to you, whether you opened them, and whether you clicked on a link inside the email.

If you ever wish to unsubscribe from our email list and remove your contact information from our records, you can do so by clicking the unsubscribe link in the email, or sending your request to dan@tinylifegear.com.

We use Mailchimp to manage our email updates.  You can view Mailchimp's privacy policy here: https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/#3._Privacy_for_Contacts

Cookies

We participate in several affiliate marketing programs that use third-party cookies to track who referred you to them.  This allows the store to pay us a commission for the items you buy on their site.  If you click a link that takes you off-site, you might get a tracking cookie from the destination site.  You won't get affiliate cookies if you don't click any links.

We use Google Analytics to help understand our traffic.  Google analytics uses a tracking cookie.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment.

If you have cookies turned off, we won't be able to use cookies to track you, but your user experience shouldn't be affected very much.

Third Party Links

We use lots of third party links.  These take you to websites that are not under our control, and each website should have its own privacy policy.

Children Online Privacy Protection Act

We don't specifically market to children under 13.

Data Breaches

Should a data breach occur, we will notify you within 7 days of learning about the breach using whatever contact information we have for you.
